Race For Life 12 July, 2015

Today, my wife and step-daughters are doing the Race for life in aid of cancer research. One of my colleagues on the other side of the country is doing a bike ride for his local hospice. To everyone taking part in charity events all over the world, good luck, hope the weather stays kind wherever you are, you’re all making a big difference in your own way.

I would also like to ask Mother Nature to keep the rain off until I get home. Enjoy today wherever you are and whatever you do.

If at first you don’t succeed, make a tweak and try again. If you never try you’ll never achieve anything.

Ethereal Paints

Ocean waves came rolling towards them, he picked her up and threw her in. In the last second he realized that she was grabbing his wrist firmly.

They laughed and thrashed water at each other.

The moon smiled at them from up above, salty wind of ocean played with the playful lovers.

Who has seen tomorrow! Hold your lover’s hands like there is no tomorrow, only today! Give all you have and take all that you can!

Live to love and love to live.

Edith Olive O’ Connor 2, the story continues.

Wonderful tale of life on the edge, long may it continue to grow and to write itself into a modern work of art.

Rethinking Life

IMG_2723Edith had only been working at the Book Lovers Emporium for a week before she gave up and let the books have their own way.   Now, six months later, she’s letting the entire shop do as it pleases, since things run quite smoothly without her intervention.  She has no idea who’s making the coffee and tea in the morning and if there is a certain way the books are shelved, she doesn’t know what it is.

The walls in the main Reading Room are painted wedgwood blue, although they do change color, now and then.  The windows seemingly go from the floor to the ceiling but since no one can actually see the ceiling there’s no way to be sure.  And it doesn’t matter whether it’s sunny, raining, day or night, the lightening in the room is always the same…early morning on a sunny, summer day.    Some of…

Happy Independence Day USA

Today is the 4th July, a day Americans celebrate their freedom to govern themselves from an oppressive British regime. The freedom they fought so hard to win was lost, almost, at the beginning of the 21st century. The free world united by the atrocity declared war on terror, this has not been an easy war. Reason why the two World Wars at the beginning of the 20th century were shorter than this one? The main one is the enemy in the 20th century made himself visible by wearing a different uniform. The enemy this time refuses to be seen wearing a uniform. The cowards hide in plain site looking like everyone else until they blow themselves up.

Anyway, let’s all remain vigilant while the celebrations go on. We deserve one day to forget the War on Terror and have fun. The war can continue tomorrow but for today let’s enjoy the celebrations with our cousins and have fun.
